The Starchy Gallery is a competition in aid of charity to dress or decorate a potato to resemble a celebrity of your choice.

The top three winning entries are decided by public vote during the day, and their photos posted on this web site.

There are no prizes, just the joy of winning, being creative and having a giggle.

(Entries in bad taste will be disqualified)

£1.00 per entry, all proceeds to the the Sydenham Garden, registered charity number 108100.

Next Potato Day: Sunday 25th February 2007 9 - 1pm (entries by 10.30 if possible please). At the Farmers' Market (in the Art & Craft section in the cloister), Dulwich College, College Road, London SE21

Potatoes must form the main vegetable component of the work. Sweet potatoes are acceptable. Entries in bad taste will be disqualified.

Entries will then be displayed in the Window Gallery of Space Station Sixty Five, 65 Northcross Road, East Dulwich, SE22. (Open Gallery Days 3rd and 17th March, Gallery Closing Evening Friday 16th March 6.30 pm– 8.30pm)
